Obituary: Lillian Ann Coomer, 90, member Jones Chapel UMC Mrs. Coomer was the matriarch of a large, prominent West Adair County family Lillian Ann Coomer, 90, a resident of Summit Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Jones Chapel Road, Columbia, KY, passed away at 1:05pm CT, Thursday, August 9, 2007, at Summer Manor Nursing Home in Columbia, KY. The funeral service will be Sunday, August 12, 2007, at 1:00pm, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY with Bro. Ronnie Dooley the officiating clergy. She was born January 3, 1917, the daughter of the late Joseph Oscar and Dellie Turner Rogers Parnell and the widow of William Taft Coomer, who preceded her in death in 1971. She is survived by the following:
She was preceded in death by she was preceded in death by a son J. T. Coomeron May 15, 2000, and by two brothers and two sisters: Carl Parnell, James C. Parnell, Ora Sneed, and Flossie Hamlett. She was a member of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church and a homemaker. Interment will be in the Jones Chapel Cemetery. Visitation wil be after 4:00pm CT, Saturday, August 11, 2007, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Stotts-Phelps-McQuery Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
