Fundraiser activities schedule for Jaremy Austin Benefit

A full day of activities is schedule on Saturday, August 11, 2007, to raise money for Iraq War veteran Jaremy Austin, who was severely injured in a motorcycle accident on July 4, 2007, near Barren River Lake.

The events include breakfast, lunch, and supper, a performance by Ashley Mefford and Seth Mefford, a giant yard sale, a poker run, motorcycle bug run, a corn toss tournament, and a Saturday night benefit auction with more items than has been seen at a benefit auction in a long time. (AUCTION LIST)

The events will take place or start at the VFW at 6:00pm. It will be a great day of wonderful events, and it will help a wonderful man, through a difficult time. The detailed day's schedule follows;



Saturday, August 11, 2007
All times Central Daylight Time
7:00am
  • Yard Sale: Most of the stuff in the yard sale will be 50
  • Pancake breakfast: Make a donation!

11:00am
  • Ashley Mefford and Seth Mefford will be performing
  • Poker run registration
  • Lunch will be served Sandwiches, chips, drink, served with dessert, $5.00

12 noon
  • Poker run. $10 entry fee. Best hand wins $200.00
  • Bug run. $5.00 entry fee. Split pot

3:30pm
  • Corn hole tournament registration

4:00pm
  • Corn Hole Tournament. $20.00 entry fee. First place pays $50.00. Second place pays $20.00

5:00pm
  • Dinner will be served. Hamburgers, hotdogs, tenderloin, baked beans, cole slaw, drink, and dessert. $5.00 a plate
