ACHS Girls Golf team wins first match of season

Team is showing much improvement over last season.
ACHS team better than Washington County by 29 strokes!

By Kim Goodin

The ACHS girls'golf team won their first match of the season at Lincoln Homestead State Park against Washington Co. on Thursday, August 2.

The team shot 174 to Washington County's 203.

Individual scores were as follows:
  • Lauren Goodin 36
  • Natalie Sneed 43
  • Ashley Goodin 44, Natalie Curry 51
Newcomers Abby Royse and Emilee Royse also competed for the team.

This is quite an improved team from last year.

Adair County shot a 236 last year and was defeated by Washington Co. with a 228.

I am very proud of how far these girls have come in a year.

I am expecting good things from them.

We are in several tournaments this year and playing some very tough competition.

I hope they continue to play as well as they did at Washington Co.
