Davis Dial, 61, dies in Dupont, IN

Mr. Dial was a native of Adair County, and was a member of a large, well-known Columbia family

Davis Dial, 61, Dupont, Indiana, died Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at his home.

The funeral service will be Sunday, August 3, 2007, at 1:00pm CT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Froedge officiating.


A native of Adair County, he was a son of the late Clyde and Janie Crawhorn Dial.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Dial, Dupont, IN, and the following:
  • Two daughters and sons-in-law: Marie and Walter Pelston, Breeding, KY; and Carolyn and Larry Pelston, Columbia, KY.

  • Two sons and daughters-in-law: Allen and Veronica Dial, Russell Springs, KY; and Johnny Dial, Columbia, KY.

  • Seven brothers; Joe, William, Jimmy, Marshall, and Charlie Dial, all of Columbia, KY; Mitchell Dial, Columbus, IN; and Terry Dial, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three sisters: Buelah McAllister and Martha Matney, both of Columbia, KY; and Cathy Cox of Greensburg, KY

  • And seven grandchildren
Visitation will be after 6:00pm, Friday, August 3, 2007, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY.

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
