Obituary: Duane Ellen Wilkinson Haley, 65

Duane Ellen Wilkinson Haley, 65, of Centerville, Ohio, formerly of the GlensforkCommunity in Adair County, passed away Monday July 16, 2007 after a lengthy illness.

She was born September 1, 1941, the daughter of the late Arlise M. and Mary Ellen Aaron Wilkinson of Glensfork, KY.


She is survived by one son,Todd D. Haley of Centerville, Ohio, and the following:
  • One sister: Diane E. Hill, Florence, KY

  • Two cousins :Ken Aaron and Dr. Phil Aaron, of Columbia, KY

  • Two lifelong friends: Sue Smythe Dowell and Tucker Yarberry
There will be no Memorial service and her ashes will be buried in Columbia Cemetery.

It is requested that instead of flowers contributions can be made to Hospice of Dayton, Ohio. These can be made at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Remembering Duane Ellen Wilkinson Haley: Lifetime friends



2007-07-18 .
Duane Ellen Wilkinson Haley right, died Monday, July 16, 2007, in Ohio, after a long illness. She was 65. Her ashes will be interred at Columbia City Cemetery in a private ceremony. She was a native of Glens Fork, KY and was a 1959 graduate of Adair County High School. She made many lifelong friends there. Though most of her career as a teacher was in Centerville, Ohio, she maintained a many friendships in Adair County. She and bosom buddy Sue Smythe Dowell visited every chance they got. Above, 15 years ago, on July 21, 2007, they were photographed together at the Circle R. Sue says the picture is Duane. "The smile," she said. "That's Duane."
