Jerry Anderson, originally from Bearwallow Ridge in Cumberland County, is on trial in Gastonia, NC, for the December 2005 murder of his wife, Adair Countian Emily Griffitt, recently a resident of Cane Valley, KY. Testimony in the case resumes this morning, Thursday, June 28, 2007, at 9:30amET/8:30amCT. A relatively brief account of the Wednesday, June 27, 2007 testimony in the trial at Gastonia, NC. "Jurors hear last voice mail messages. Emily Anderson's mailbox full of calls from concerned family, friends" by Jennifer Menster, Hickory, N.C., Hickory Record posted Thursday, June 28, 2007. A longer story was posted late last night in Lenoir, NC, located in Caldwell County, where Sawmills, NC, apparently the location of the murder, is also located.
