5th District Little League Baseball Tournament here July 6-11

Local Little League officials expect 3-4,000 fans here during span of tournament. Two local teams will be competing for a chance to play in the State Tournament in Bowling Green

By Scott Bennett

The Adair County Little League will be hosting the 5th District Baseball Tournament beginning July 6 and running through July 11.

Two local teams (9/10 year olds and 11/12 year olds) will be competing in this tournament for a bid to the KY State Little League Tournament in Bowling Green.

There will be a total of 16 teams from around the area competing in the tournament and will bring in most likeley 3-4000 fans and players to Columbia over the span of the tournament.

This is a great opportunity for our local league to show off its updated facilities, and I am confident Adair County will show itself to be the best host community the 5th District Little League Baseball Tournament could ever have.

We would like to invite the whole community out to watch these "Future Indians" in a free and fun atmosphere.

Watch here, listen to announcements on the radio, and watch for articles in the newspapers for game times, and additional information.
