Feedback: Burton Ridge ends about Robert Gentry's store To the editor I am an Edinburgh transplant that came from Burton Ridge. My grandparents, Joe & Gracie McQueary, lived the 1st house above the Purdy Church in the curb.My uncle still owns the house where my grandparents lived. I went to Shepherd for 8 years, spending 1 year (3rd Grade) of that 8 years at the 2 room school house that was behind Purdy Church, next door to my Grandma's house.When I married, my parents, Arthur & Mabel Vincent, lived the 2nd house above the church.
