Obituary: Lucille Cape, 78

Mrs. Cape was the matriarch of a large South Adair County family

Lucille Cape, 78, a resident of Summit Manor Health & Rehab, formerly of the Cundiff community, died Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at 12:05am at Summit Manor.

The funeral service will be held Friday, June 1, 2007, at 1:00pm at Grissom Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Buford Hadley and Bro. Cleveland Johnson officiating.



She was a daughter of the late Marion and Susie Keith Kelly, the widow of Robert Cape, and was preceded in death by one son and one daughter, Jerrell Cape and Carolyn Cape.

Survivors include the following:
  • Five daughters: Kathy and her husband Randall Bunch, Jamestown, KY; Marilyn and her husband Tony Taylor, Cincinnati, OH; and Sharlene Cape, Susan Grant, and Teresa and her husband Irvin Bertram, all of Columbia KY

  • Two sons
  • : Tracy and his wife Laurie Cape, Bowling Green, KY; and Phillip Cape, Columbia, KY
  • One brother: Roy Kelly, Chicago, IL

  • One sister: Marie George, Jamestown, KY

  • And 19 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren
Burial will be in Cundiff Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4pm, Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Grissom Funeral Home.
