Two vehicle accident results in injuries to 8 of 9 occupants

Six individuals involved were treated and released at Springview Hospital in Lebanon and and two were treated and released at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville following a two-car accident at 10:05am this morning, Sunday, May 13, 2007, 8.5 miles east of Springfield on US Hwy 150.

Misty Stratton, 31, Junction City, KY, was operating a 2001 Chrysler, westbound, and had slowed to make a right turn, at which time her vehicle was struck in the rear by a 1994 operated by Larry Tanner, 65, Bardstown, KY.

Statton and five passengers were treated and released at Ephraim McDowell. The passengers were Christine Klass, 37, Matthew Roby, 17, Angela Roby, 17, and Gregory Stratton, 10, all of Junction City, KY, and Carolyn Brummett, 54, Lebanon, KY. All had seatbelts in use.

Larry Tanner and passenger Charlotte Tanner, 63, Bardstown, were treated and released at Springview Hospital in Lebanon. A second passenger, Larry James, 34, Bardstown, was not injured. All three occupants of the Tanner vehicle were belted.

Trooper R.C. Walker of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, investigated the accident.
