Chamber events for 2007 announced

Donna Stotts, Activities & Events Committee Chairperson for the Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce, has announced a schedule which started on January 1, 2007 with the celebration, all year long, of the 50th anniversary of the Chamber organization in Adair County. Past Chamber President Richard Phelps is chairman of the committee.


Other Events are as follows:

April 9, 2007: Chamber banquet The guest speaker this year is U.S. Congressman Hal Rogers. The banquet will include the annual recognition of outstanding leaders.

June 14, 2007: The 5th Annual Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament at Pinewood Country Club. Co-chaired by Stephen Keen and Monica Rogers. The rain delay date will be June 21, 2007.

June 19th, 2007: Annual Picnic The Annual Picnic in the Park at the Roadside Park on KY 55 South starts at 6:30pm, CT.

August 21, 2007: Second annual Wares Fair at LWC Biggers Sports Arena as college students and faculty return for the Fall Semester. The chairman is Ron Heath.

Fall, 2007: The Folklore of the Old West. Chairman is Charles Grimsley.

December 1, 2007: Christmas in Columbia The chairman, for the second year in a row is Dave Johnston.

December 2007. date TBA: Chamber Christmas Party
The annual Columbia Adair County Chamber Christmas party at Lindsey Wilson Cramner Dining Center. Installation of New Officers will take place. Patricia Harper is chairperson of the event.

The Preisident-Elect is coordinating this year's Chamber Events, which culminate with Christmas in Columbia in December, but includes other biggies, the Chamber Annual Awards banquet and th Chamber Picnic.
