Letter: Odis Sinclair adds information on McGaha store To CM editor: I am originally from Adair County, now live in Taylor County after living in Louisville 45 years. I remember the McGaha store. My uncle, Estil Burton, and wife, Bertha McGaha Burton, owned the store in the early 1940's. He was a brother to other store owners in that area: David Burton, Elzy Burton, Zack Burton, Eli Burton and Dollie Burton Streeval. My first cousin, Helen Burton Curry, and her husband Ralph Gilbert Curry, were the last to operate the store. Gilbert says you can contact him at 270-384-2547 for more info on the McGaha store. Odis Sinclair From the CM Editor: Thanks for the information and the news tip. Hope to add more on the store in the future.
