FEEDBACK: Comments on industry recruitment

Writer says that that local airport's stand on development of "fly in" community hurt industrial recruitment

Editor, ColumbiaMagazine.com

After reading the article outlining industry recruting efforts, I couldn't help but recall the outright refusal of the airport authority to allow the development of the "fly in" community access gate system to be installed at no cost to the airport, and as a benefit to any industrial executives who may be looking for a new location.

How is Adair County going to grow its industrial base and local employment options for its residents when there are the "good old boys" slamming the door in the faces of those who are trying to make improvements that would support that growth?

I lov living in Adair County, but I have to drive to Glasgow every day to work, since there are no local employers who pay anything close to a living wage.
