Rain slick road contributes to 3-vehicle accident A three- collision on KY 49 on Friday, December 22, 2006, resulted in injuries to one of the drivers. William B. Miles, 29, Loretto, was traveling north on KY 49, when he lost control in a curve on a rain slick road, went into the southbound lane, and struck a southound 1998 Ford, operated by Louise Newton, 76, Loretto, KY, and also striking another southbound vehicle, a 1996 Dodge, operated by Donna Langford, 59, Lebanon, KY. Miles and Langford were not injured. Newton was transported to Springview Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. All occupants were belted. The incident was investigated by Trooper Clint Walker, Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY.
