Obituary: Mary Corbin, 63, of Baptist faith

Mrs. Corbin was employed at Oshkosh B'Gosh for many years. She leave a large family

Mary Corbin, 63, 174 Corbin RD, Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at 8:35pm, at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY, after an illness.

The funeral service will be Saturday, December 23, 2006, at 11:00am CT, at Grissom Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY with Bro. Lonnie Karnes and Bro. Jessie Hagan officiating.



She was a daughter of the late Simon Wheeler. She was employed at Oshkosh B'Gosh for many years and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include the following:
  • Her mother: Zelpha McClister Wheeler, Columbia, KY

  • Her husband: Arnold Corbin, Columbia, KY

  • Two sons and spouses: Timmy and Denessa Corbin, and Todd and Tina Corbin, all of Columbia, KY

  • Four daughters: Martha and husband Haskin Wheeler, Columbia, KY; Becky Bennett, Russell Springs, KY; and Tammy Loy and Paul and husband Kevin Sneed, all of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: Marshall Wheeler, Columbia, KY; and Bobby Wheeler, Medina, OH

  • Three sisters: Evelyn Holland, Chicago; Gelois Edwards, Greensburg, KY; and Dottie Corbin, Columbia, KY

  • And nine grandchildren and one great grandchild
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister, Dixie, Billy, and Simon Jr. Wheeler, and Wilda Cape.

Burial will be in McClister Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4:00pm CT, Friday, December 22, 2006, at Grissom Funeral Home.

Grissom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
