Good morning! It's a foggy, foggy early morning. It is a good day to go to the Adair County Public Library. Children's Story Hour at the library is at 10:00am CT, today. Children's Story Hour is each Wednesday at 10:00am. .

Traffic and parking. It is a busy day in Adair District Court this morning, with 112 cases in District Court. This will affect availability of parking in Downtown Columbia. There are no cases scheduled for Circuit Court, according to the Kentucky Court of Justice website. School buses are rolling, and David Jones, Director of Student Transportation, reminds everyone that this is National School Bus Safety Week. (Oct. 16-21). Please drive carefully and watch for the big yellow school buses.

Today, is last day to submit list of challengers to county court clerk (20 days before election). And you've got just one week, until 4:00pm CT, Wednesday, October 27, 2006, to file a declaration of intent as a write-in candidate (not less than 10 days before election).
