He had retired in Vine Grove, KY Funeral for father and son today at 1:00pm at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Hom Orvel Joseph "Joe" Blackburn, 77, 6090 Hwy 60, Vine Grove, KY, formerly of Adair County, KY, died Monday, October 9, 2006, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Hardin County, KY. The funeral service will Be Friday, October 13, 2006, at 1:00pm CT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Edward Brown and Bro. Earl Neat officiating. Burial will be in Caldwell Chapel Cemetery, Knifley, KY. Visitation will be after 10:00am CT, Friday, October 13, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. His son, Gene Dale Blackburn died as a result of the same accident on October 9, 2006 Mr. Blackburn was the son of the late Lonnie and Lula Mae Dixon Blackburn. He is survived by the following:
