FEEDBACK: Angie Murrell recalls Miss Imogene Snider How writer's grandmother finally fessed up she didn't have ESP Ed, I really enjoyed seeing the picture posted by Jason Harmon. It showed three ladies well-known to me in my childhood, especially my great-aunt Bertha Shepherd Burton, who was my "Aunt Bea" and my grandmother Morris's sister. Also Miss Imogene, as we all called her, who lived across Hwy. 206 from my granny. Her house was at an angle from Granny's, and when she had her blinds open, Granny could see the oven light on her stove when she had something in the oven baking.Granny kept Miss Imogene going for quite a while by spotting that little light and calling her to ask what she was baking, before she finally confessed to not having ESP, just very good eyesight for a lady her age. Wonderful memories!!!! Angie D. Murrell This story was posted on 2006-10-05 07:58:52
