LWC to host 4 visitations for prospective students, families By Emily Harlan, LWC Writer Prospective students and their families will have four opportunities to attend one of Lindsey Wilson Colleges visitation days during the 2006-07 school year. The colleges Admissions Office will host visitation days on: September 23, November 18, 2006; and January 27 and April 21, 2007. The days are open to area high school juniors and seniors and their families and give prospective students and their families an inside look at undergraduate life at Lindsey Wilson. The four visitation days will be held from 9:00am to noon CT. They will begin in the Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center. One of the best ways to learn about a college is by taking part in a visitation day, said Dean of Admissions Traci Pooler. You not only get to tour the campus, but at Lindsey Wilson you get to meet the faculty who are responsible for our outstanding academic programs. You also learn about our athletic teams, scholarships and financial aid, and student life. Pooler said whats especially valuable about a visitation day is that students and their families get to know our faculty and staff and ask them specific questions about our academic programs. Pooler said that its never too early to start the college-search process. Some people think that high school seniors are the only people who attend visitation days, she said. But visitation days are also excellent opportunities for high school underclassmen and their families. Its never too early to get started on the college-selection process. Starting it early can often make the senior year of high school a little less stressful. In addition to the colleges admissions staff, the Blue Raider Crew will be on hand to answer guests questions. The Blue Raider Crew are student ambassadors who serve as liaisons between the admissions staff and prospective students. Lindsey Wilson visitation days are open to all high school students and their families. A complimentary lunch will be served in the colleges Cranmer Dining & Conference Center. To make reservations, contact the Lindsey Wilson Office of Admissions at (800) 264-0138, (270) 384-8100 or info@lindsey.edu, or go to www.lindsey.edu/admissions.
