Obituary: Stanley Baker, 65, member Union Chapel

Stanley Baker, 65, of Hurt Street in Columbia, passed away Friday, August 4, 2006. He was a member of Union Chapel Church and was formerly employed by Klemp Steel. He was a son of the late Edd Lee and Lillie Mae Coomer Baker.


Survivors include:
  • His wife Margie Coomer Baker of Columbia
  • One daughtger Annette Marie Curry of Columbia
  • Two brothers James Willard and Richard Baker both of Columbia
  • Three sisters, Dimple Coomer, Mary Helen Bunch and Claristine Reliford, all of Columbia
  • Three grandchildren, Shanna and Jody Curry and Alisha Nelson
  • One great grandchild, Tanner curry
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Woodson, Willie Elmer and Clarence Embry Baker.

Services will be Monday, August 7, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Grissom Funeral home with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Visitation begins after 4 p.m. Sunday.
