Obituary: Jeannette Bridgewaters, 69, member 2nd Christian

She was member of large Adair County family; 79 descendents survive

Jeannette Bridgewaters, 69, Columbia, died Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, after an illness.

The funeral service will be Monday, July 3, 2006, at 1:00pm CT, at Grissom Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenny Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery.


She was the daughter of the late Will Ed and Fannie Matt Speerman Jones and a member of Second Christian Church.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Anthony "Tony" Bridgewaters, Columbia; and Keenan "Redbone" Bridgewaters, Frankfort, KY

  • Six daughters: Jane and her husband Danny Taylor; Leetta and her husband Ralph Willis; Kathy Bridgewaters; Vonda and husband Michael Taylor; and Rhonda Jones, all of Columbia, KY; and Eyvonne Bridgewaters, Lexington

  • And 38 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm CT at Grissom Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY.

Grissom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
