Obituary: Sharlet Handy, 44, member New Life for the Nations

Sharlet Gail Handy, 44, Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, as the result of an automobile accident on Highway 55 North.

The funeral service will be Saturday, June 17, 2006, at 4:00pm, at Grissom Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Gerald Reliford officiating.


She was a daughter of the late Edna Bernard Handy was a member of New Life for the Nations.
  • Survivors include the following:

  • Her father: Herbert Handy, Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: JoAnn Murphy Yike, Riverport, IN

  • Four brothers: Charles, Greg, and Stevie Handy, all of Columbia, KY; and Ritchie Handy of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four sisters: Shirley Vincent, Louisville, KY; Carol Wolford, Shepherdsville, KY; and Wanda George and Georgia McLean, both of Columbia, KY

  • And two grandchildren
She was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Lee Handy, in 1998.

Visitation will be after 5:00pm, Friday, June 16, 2006

Grissom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
