2006 Adair County Relay for Life : The Luminary Ceremony

One of most moving events in the Relay for Life when hundreds walk around the track with candles litin honor of loved ones who have battled cancer. There's still time to add names to the list, for a donation of $5.00 per name

By Barbara Shepherd

You can help light the night for walkers and runners by sponsoring a luminary that will be placed around the track in honor of or in memory of someone you love.

The name of your loved one will be placed on the luminary and announced during the special ceremony at 9:00 p.m.

Everyone can walk around the track in tribute to those who have or are currently battling cancer.

If you would like to sponsor a luminary in honor of or memory of a loved one, please contact Barbara Shepherd at (270) 384-5163, Peggy Lawson at (270) 384-4501 or Angie Dean at (270) 384-6433.

Luminaries are $5.00 per name.

All contributions to the American Cancer Society are taxdeductible.

Thanks for helping us save lives.
