Lafayette man dies as result of accident on KY 100

Saturday, May 20, 2006. Pickup truck crosses center line, strikes another head on. Driver of second vehicle pronounced dead at scene by Monroe County Coroner. Other occupants taken to Monroe Medical Center
Kentucky State Trooper David Long investigated a two vehicle fatal accident that occurred 4.8 miles west of Tompkinsville on KY 100, around 3:30p.m. Saturday evening, May 20, 2006.

Leroy Williams, 34, of Tompkinsville, KY, was operating a 1994 Ford Ranger when he crossed the center line and struck a 1999 GMC, that was driven by Terrell Sutton, 46, Lafayette TN head on.


Leroy Sutton, who was not wearing his seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Monroe County coroner.

Suttons passenger, Joshua L Bryant, 20, who also was not wearing a seat belt, was admitted to the Monroe County Medical Center.

Terrell Sutton and his passenger, Jason Short, 28, also of Lafayette TN, were both wearing seat belts. They both were treated and released at the Monroe County Medical Center.
