Driver admitted to hospital after swerving to miss a deer

Jamie Benham, 17, Columbia, was admitted to the hospital in Columbia, KY, following an accident which occurred Monday, May 15, 2006, at 3:40 p.m.

Benham was eastbound on KY 80. She stated she swerved to avoid a deer, left the roadway, and came to rest in a ditchline.

No seat belt was in use.

Trooper Andy Olson investigated the accident.
