On January 7, 2006, Emily's body was found in a pickup truck tool box in a Waffle House Parking lot in Spartanburg, SC.

Anderson arrested January 26, 2006

On January 26, 2006, Sheriff Gary Clark of Caldwell CO, NC, arrested Jerry Anderson for the murder of Emily Griffitt Anderson. Jerry Anderson is now under indictment for the murder of Emily Griffitt Anderson.
