Genealogy & History Research Center usage for August 2026 From Mike Watson The Adair County Genealogy & History Research Center is a busy, busy place all year round, but particularly in the summer months when many travel to Adair and surrounding counties from far-flung places to research their ancestors and local history (as the statistics below show). Many of our patrons are local or regional, but we have had guests from several states west of the Mississippi, the east coast, deep south, and north of the Ohio River. We also receive telephone and email/messenger requests every single day. We do our best to answer every request. Sometimes the desired outcome is days or weeks in coming, due to the intricacies of the mystery. Some questions are quickly answered, usually to the satisfaction and delight of our patrons.
