Wally Sullivan, 71, Russell County, KY Wally Sullivan, of Jamestown, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026. He was 71 years of age. Born on August 18, 1955, in Somerset, he was a son of the late Johnie Charles and Emma Lena York Sullivan. Wally was a devoted farmer. He loved being outside working on the farm, driving tractors, and fixing whatever broke down to get the day's work finished. Wally deeply loved his family and was very proud of his grandbabies. You could always count on Wally to be there to help anyone in need. Wally is survived by his wife, Dorothy Andrew Sullivan, of Jamestown; his children, Gene Antle, of Jamestown, Garrett (and Amy) Antle, of Bardstown, and GaVon (and Ginger) Antle, of Jamestown; his grandchildren, Peyton Padgett, Grace Ann Antle, Aidan Antle, Karley Antle, Reese Antle, Brystol Smith, Isabella Antle, and Knox Antle; his great-grandchildren, Sawyer Padgett, Sloan Padgett, Scarlett Padgett, and Clyde Loy; his brothers, Hubert Sullivan, of Jamestown, Marvin Sullivan, of Jamestown, and Terry Sullivan, of Columbia; and his sisters, Ruth Sullivan, of Jamestown, and Brenda (and Graydon) Marlin, of Worth, Illinois. In addition to his parents, Wally was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Sullivan and Russell Sullivan; and his sister, Joyce Sullivan. Funeral services are 11amCT on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Eric Antle officiating. Burial will follow in Helm Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 - 8 on Wednesday and continue Thursday morning beginning at 7:30am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations of sympathy be made to Helm Cemetery, 195 Antle Loy Road, Jamestown, KY 42629. This story was posted on 2026-08-31 16:30:18
