Travel: Shepperds call Iceland extraordinary land

April Yurcevic Shepperd and husband Guy Shepperd are home from an adventure in Iceland. She shares some of her family photos before sifting through the 20K+ frames shot during the trip. She wrote, "We spent 14 days and traveled 1,800 miles exploring this extraordinary land.

"Although we were lowered into a volcano, hiked glaciers, explored ice caves and lava tunnels, kayaked amongst icebergs, scrambled up basalt columns, soaked in hot springs bursting into pools at the base of mountains, hiked to the most magnificent waterfalls in the world, dug our toes into the black sand beaches, and waddled with the puffins, it just simply wasn't enough.

"There is still so much in Iceland to see, explore, and experience. I plan to return. I have fallen in love with this wild land and have seen the power of God." Find all the pictures on her Facebook page at April Yurcevic Shepperd.
