Shannon Caldwell, 49, Adair County, KY Shannon D. Caldwell of Columbia, Kentucky, son of Patricia Caldwell, was born on October 1, 1976 in Campbellsville, Kentucky. He departed this life on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at his home having attained the age of 49 years, three months and 16 days. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended 3trees Church. Shannon found peace in nature--especially while fishing, tending to a garden, and raising tomatoes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Andrea Caldwell, on June 10, 2017. Survivors include one son: Corey Caldwell of Columbia; his mother: Patricia "Patty" Caldwell of Columbia; his grandmother: JoAnn Caldwell of Columbia; one sister and brother-in-law: Latonia and Johnny Schneider of Knifley; stepchildren: Katie Hafley and William Hafley, both of Campbellsville; grandchildren: Kari Johnson, Khai Johnson, Riley Caldwell, Kenslee Tucker, Gaven Scott, Joseph Scott, Bentlee Scott and Brantley Scott; aunts and uncles: Sheila McClister, Tony Caldwell and Delbert Caldwell all of Columbia, and Roger Darrell and Cindy Caldwell of Greensburg; special friend: Sarah Grider of Columbia; bonus children: Jonathan Grider of Lexington and Kari Grider (Ross) of Campbellsville; plus a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his grandfather: Charles Caldwell; step-daughter: Taylor Hayes; and step-father: Lewis Smothers. The funeral service for Shannon Caldwell will be conducted at 11amCT on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in Caldwell Cemetery in Knifley.
