Stanley Trent, Jr, age 44, Cumberland County, KY Stanley "Moe" Wayne Trent Jr, age 44 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025 at Cumberland County Hospital. He was a former employee of Cumberland Valley Manor. He worked in the maintenance department and then transitioned into the nursing department working as a CNA. Whether he was providing direct patient care or ensuring the building was safe and running smoothly, he was a "Jack of all trades" who could, and would, help anyone with anything. He never met a problem he couldn't tackle or a person he wouldn't stop to help. Stanley was a man of deep faith and quiet strength, and was most at peace while sitting by the Cumberland River watching the water and reflecting on the goodness of God. Above all his greatest joy was his family and friends. He was a pillar of support and a constant source of kindness to everyone who knew him. He was truly an all around great guy whose absence leaves a void that can only be filled by the many stories of his generosity and humor. He spent his life serving others on earth. He is now resting in the arms of the Creator he loved so dearly. Stanley was born on January 4, 1981 in Lexington, KY to Stanley Trent, Sr. and the late Gladys Fletcher. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by one child, Baby Trent, Uncle Melvin Hensley, cousins Jessica Stevens and Keysha Adams, granddaughter Sophia Redwine, grandparents James and Fannie Hensley and Ova and Pauline Trent. Stanley was a graduate of Breathitt County High School class of 2000. He worked in Forestry in Breathitt County before moving to Burkesville, KY. He married Jennifer Dicken on December 31, 2003, combining two wonderful families together. In the years they spent together they raised four children and four grandchildren.
