Roxie Akin Williams, 69, Burkesville, KY Roxie Akin Williams, age 69 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025 at her home. Roxie was born on November 26, 1956 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Jesse Ritchey Akin and Allie Irene Poindexter Akin. She was a member of Ashlock Church of Christ and a former employee of Cumberland County Hospital for 26 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Michael Williams, one daughter and son-in-law Leona and Chris Cary, one grandson John Russell Bowlin, siblings George Akin, Joe Akin, Laura Chambless, Elizabeth Walker and one infant brother. Survivors Include: Two Daughters - Jessie Baker and husband John and Brandi Bryson and husband Tim both of Burkesville, KY Two Sons - Chris Bowlin and wife Brenda of Burkesville, KY and Michael Willliams, II and wife Kelsey of Russell Springs, KY One Brother - Freddie Akin and his wife Rita of Burkesville, KY Four Sisters - Mary Treadwell and husband Kenneth and Eva Stambaugh and husband Jim both of Texas, Irene Mann of Jamestown, KY and Glenda Carter Ring and husband Greg of North Carolina Sisters-in-law - Janice Akin of Bowling Green, KY and Lois Akin of Texas Eleven Grandchldren - Alex Cary, Stacy Cary, Blake Bowlin and wife Sarah, Landon Bowlin, Corey Bryson, Caitlin Bryson, Emma Bryson, Bella Williams, Marley Williams, Piper Williams, Dallas Baker Two Great Grandchildren - Levi Bryson, Freya Bryson and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends Funeral Service: Monday, December 8, 2025 at 11amCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Williams Cemetery in Clay County, TN Family requests visitation on Sunday, December 7th from 5 till 9 and on Monday from 6 until time for the funeral service at 11.
