Nedra Mae Francis, 62, Russell Springs, KY

Nedra Mae Francis, of Russell Springs, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025,. She was 62 years of age.

Born January 29, 1963, in Jamestown, she was the youngest child of the late Otha and Elizabeth Cole Byrd. Nedra worked formerly as a sewing machine operator at Fruit of the Loom and then went on to obtain an associate's degree in early childhood education. She enjoyed growing flowers and loved spending time with her family playing card games and watching movies. Nedra attended Jennies Chapel Methodist Church.


Survivors include a son, Tommy Daniel (and Emmaly Lee); daughter, Mattea (and Anthony) Kennedy; four brothers, Charles Byrd, Larry (and Tracy) Byrd, Gary Byrd, and Tim (and Carmella) Overstreet; a sister, Vickie (and Martin) Stone; one granddaughter, Everleigh Kennedy; a host of nieces and nephews; two special family members, Melissa Brown and Thomas Waddle; and special friends Sheila Luttrell and Hazel Blevins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eddie Francis; a brother, Jerry Overstreet; and a sister, Dorothy Byrd. Visitation will be from 1-2pmCT Saturday.
