Jackie Bernard, 83, Russell Springs, KY

Jackie F. Bernard, of Russell Springs, passed away on November 29, 2025. He was 83 years of age.

Born on February 18, 1942, in Russell County, he was a son of the late Osborn and Marrene Pruitt Bernard. Jackie was a retired railroad maintenance worker for Amtrak. Jackie enjoyed hunting and fishing. He attended Bernard Ridge Church of God.


Jackie is survived by his children, Frankie (and Marina) Bernard, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Michael (and Stacey) Bernard, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Rhonda Yarbrough, of California; his brothers, Jimmy (and Connie) Bernard, and Ricky (and Jackie) Bernard, both of Russell Springs; his sister, Lynn Robertson, of Russell Springs; and a host of grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Bernard and Jesse Bernard; and his sisters, Jo Ann Coffey, Reva Lee, Juanita Cobb, and Kathyrn Gossage.

Funeral services are 12noonCT on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Eric Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Lucinda Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10 until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations of sympathy be made to Lucinda Cemetery Fund, c/o Denise Witaker, 582 Hurst School Road, McKee, Kentucky 40447.
