David Shoemaker, 57, Casey County, KY David Shoemaker, of Liberty, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025. He was 57. Born January 8, 1968, in Middletown, OH, he was a son of the late Ford and Rhoda Hisle Shoemaker. David was a hard worker, having worked in construction and excavation. He was employed by J&H Contracting. David enjoyed working in his yard. He took great pride in everything he did. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with his friends. David attended Friends of Faith Church. To know David was to love him. He never met a stranger and he will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Survivors include his son, Jeffery Estes; daughters, Ashley Arnett, Felicia (and Tommy, Jr.) Gross, Vanessa Shoemaker, and Megan (and Brandon) Ward; brothers, Charles Wayne (and Sherry) Shoemaker, Douglas (and Kelli) Winkler, and Ford Shoemaker, Jr.; sisters, Vonetta (and Mike) Dougan, Frankie (and Dwayne) Moore, and Christina (and Kris) Holzerland; and 15 grandchildren, Jeffery, Morgan, Madison, Nicole, Kaden, Dalton, Tommy, Braxton, Joshua, Keirsten, Mariah, Karmon, Serenity, Maddie, and Maddox; longtime companion, Jyll Lay; step-son, Bryan (and Stephanie) Morgan; and 2 step-grandchildren, Kennedy and Ainsley. Memorial services will be held at 2pmET Friday, November 28, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Eric Miller officiating. Visitation will be held from 12noon Friday.
