Carolyn S. Smith, 82, Columbia, KY (1943-2025) Carolyn Sue (Rayburn) Smith of Columbia passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. She was 82 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11amCT on on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Larry Brown and Bro. Todd Akin officiating. Burial will follow in the Bennett Family Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue Saturday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. She was born on July 30, 1943, in Green County, KY to the late Robert Lee and Dorothy Mae Kemp Rayburn. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Hutchison Community Church and enjoyed reading, quilting, painting, and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband Marshall Smith of Columbia, KY; three children Lisa Burton (Ricky) of Taylorsville, IN, Mark Bradshaw (Rachel) of Columbia, KY, and Shanna Tucker (Stacey) of Edinburgh, IN; three grandchildren Michael Bradshaw (Roslin) of Columbia, KY, Matthew Tucker (Amber) of Edinburgh, IN, and LaShana Fisette (David) of Flat Rock, IN; six great grandchildren Hunter, Boston, Selah, Josi, Beau, and Luke, step daughter Carla Smith of Rochester, IL, step grandchildren Lindsey Harms (Joe) of Rochester, IL, Tiffany Harrison (Blake) of Caseyville, IL, step great grandchildren Aaralena, Everly and Sienna and several friends and relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband James Lee "Jimmy" Bradshaw, her second husband Delwin "Dale" Smith, a daughter Donna Lynn Bradshaw and a brother Bobby Rayburn. Pallbearers will be Matthew Tucker, Michael Bradshaw, David Fisette, Ricky Burton, Stacey Tucker, and Landon Rayburn. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
