Angela Rene Smith, 52, Jamestown, KY (1973-2025) Angela Rene (Cowan) Smith of Jamestown passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was 52 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Jamie Bryant officiating. Entombment will be in the Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday after 10amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. She was born on October 26, 1973, in Columbia, KY to Kenneth and Marlene Hay Cowan. Angela professed faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of Freedom Separate Baptist Church. She worked at Westlake Primary Care, Kroger, and Monticello Banking for 20 years. She considered her workplace and co-workers as family and loved them deeply. Angela made friends with everyone she met, having a warm and caring spirit and often everyone said she was the sweetest person they had ever known. Survivors include her husband of 28 years Shawn Smith of Jamestown, KY; her parents Kenneth and Marlene Cowan of Columbia, KY; her Godparents Philip and Leona Akin of Columbia, KY; two aunts Nellie Bell of Glasgow, KY and Brenda McIntyre (Jeff); two uncles Raymond Jackson (Shirlene) and Ronnie Jackson (Kathy) both of Russell Springs, KY; her father and mother-in-law Larry and Brenda Smith of Jamestown, KY; her beloved pets "Jinxie" and "Max" and numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Clem and Ethel Cowan and Clinton and Lula Jackson. Pallbearers will be Michael Stearns, Glenn Stearns, Chris Murphy, Bryson Hicks, Benson Bell, and Johnny Bell. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Coffey, Brayden Smith, Braxton Smith, Larin Coffey, and Dennis Bailey. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
