David Donald Allen, 79, Casey County, KY

David Donald Allen, of Liberty, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Lexington VA Hospital. He was 79.

Born on December 15, 1945, in Liberty, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Beckham and Wanda Allen. David was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and RV camping.


He is survived by his wife, Barbara J Allen of Liberty; his children, Teresa (Joe) Gavin of Milton, Florida, Brett (Erica) Allen of Pahoa, Hawaii, David (Mariah) Allen of Oregon City, Oregon, Nichole (Niles) Allen of Prineville, Oregon, and Lance Allen of Liberty; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Other survivors include his brothers, Larry Allen, Conley Allen, Billy Allen, Tom Allen, Wayne Allen, and George Allen; and his sisters, Della Cornett, Corie Lyman, and Marlene Wells.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Allen and Ted Allen.

Burial will be held privately at Allen Family Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Casey County Veterans Honor Guard. McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
