Stacy Lynn Smith, 48, Burkesville, KY

Stacy Lynn (Watkins) Smith of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at her residence in Cumberland County, Kentucky having attained the age of 48 years, 6 months, and 18 days.

She was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Wednesday, April 20, 1977, the daughter of Harlen & Betty (Spears) Watkins. She was a woman of Christian faith and attended the Water View Church of Christ. She found joy tending to her garden, working in the yard, and enjoying the peace of the outdoors.


Whether she was hunting in the woods, walking a hiking trail, or soaking up the sun at the beach. More than anything, her heart was happiest when she was surrounded by her family, especially when she was spoiling her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Betty Williams, sister, Arlena Short, and brothers, Jimmy Bow, and Darrell Bow.

She is survived by her husband, Marty Lane Smith, whom she wed on September, 12, 2020; children, Angel Lynn (& Greg) Moons of Burkesville, Kentucky, Jamie Russell Wray Jr. of Columbia, Kentucky, Mary Mellor (& Gary) Clark of Nashville, Tennessee, Sarah Grace Smith of Los Angeles, California, Ellise Virginia Smith of Mercer Island, Washington; siblings, Dewayne Watkins, William (& Patty) Sewell, Teresa Arms, Shannon (& Misty) Watkins, Kathrine (& Jesse) Huckelby, all of Cumberland County, Kentucky; grandchildren, Lynnix Moons, Abram Moons, Alex Moons, Alysa Moons, Cainan Moons, nieces & nephews, Harlie, Dalton, Ethan, Cameron, Chloe, William, Mariah, Jesse Kyle, Tyler, Chris, Elizaberh, Travis, Wesley, Shaun, Sarah, Austin, Zoey, and a host of great nieces nephews, cousins and many friends.

The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 1pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Castillo officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 10, 2025, beginning at 5pm until the funeral hour on Tuesday afternoon. Burial will be in the Marrowbone Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
