Margie Rodgers, 91, Casey County, KY

Margie L. Rodgers, age 91, of, Liberty, KY, passed away on Thursday November 6th, 2025, at her residence. She was born October 23rd, 1934, in Casey Co., KY, a daughter of the late Lester and Edna Scott Bertram.

Margie was the widow of Sam Rodgers who passed away on December 20th, 2016. Margie and Sam were married on August 22nd, 1951, and were married for 65 years. She was a former cook at Douglas Elementary, a seamstress, quilter and a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church.


Survivors include: six children: Rose and (Al) Atwood of Liberty, Theresa and (Dwight) Coffman of Liberty, Harold Dewayne and (Donna) Rodgers of Jacksonville, FL, Dennis and (Brenda) Rodgers of Port Charlotte, FL, Mike and (Denise) Rodgers and Kenny Rodgers and (Vicky Hale) of Liberty, eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren, and four siblings: Eunice Childers of Batavia, OH, Johnny Bertram of OH, Howard Bertram of Goshen, OH and Francis Faulkner of Liberty.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was one grandchild, two great grandchildren and three siblings: Herbert Bertram, Helen Brock and Mildred Mills.

Funeral Services will be held 1pmET Sunday November 9th, 2025, at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church. Bro. Dwight Coffman officiating. Burial will be in the Peavey Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5 till 8 Saturday at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel and after 11 Sunday November 9th, 2025, at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church.
