Cathy Wethington Tapscott, 73, Green County, KY Cathy Deloris Wethington Tapscott of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Edgar and Imelda Wethington was born on March 3, 1952 in Clementsville, Kentucky. She departed this life on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at her home having attained the age of 73 years, seven months and 23 days. She was of the Catholic faith and formerly worked at Campbellsville Apparel. Cathy enjoyed flowers, watching golf and the game show network. She was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcat fan. Survivors include her companion of over 35 years, Billy Gumm, of Greensburg. Other survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Chris and Candise Tapscott of Liberty, and James Gregory Tapscott of Campbellsville; two step-children: Natosha and Travis Keith of Greensburg, and Brandon and Courtney Gumm of Campbellsville; grandchildren: Bodie Tapscott, Mila Tapscott, Kaylee Gifford, Ashton Gifford, Kristijna and Derek Sines, Cheyenne Keith, Blake Gumm and Corey Gumm; two great-grandchildren: Ethan Brown and Selena Sines; one sister and brother-in-law: Louise and John Bricken of Louisville; plus a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by siblings: Anna Catherine Wethington, Vera Ann Campbell, Frances Waymon Pelston, Pat Wethington, Lawrence "Runt" Wethington and Malcom Wethington. The funeral services for Cathy Tapscott will be conducted at 10amCT on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in the St. Bernard's Catholic Church Cemetery in Clementsville. Bro. Earl West officiating. Visitation is requested from 5 until 8 on Wednesday and after 7 until the time of the service on Thursday.
