Volleyball: Indians host Metcalfe Co. regular season finale By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer The Adair County Lady Indians Volleyball team currently sits at 27-6 going into the regular season finale at home. The Indians will host Metcalfe County, with play starting at 5:30pmCT and the varsity game scheduled for 7pmCT on Thursday, October 16, 2025, in John Burr Memorial Gymnasium, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at hometownticketing.com. The Lady Tribe has won five of their last six, stretching back to the beginning of this month. Those five wins came over Barren County 2-0, Green County 3-0, Pulaski County 3-0, Corbin 2-1, and Monroe County 2-0. They dropped a single match (0-2) with Ashland Blazer. The Lady Indians sit at the top of the 5th Region RPI rankings, and are 8th in the statewide RPI. In their most recent game, a 2-0 road victory over the Monroe County Lady Falcons, the team was led in kills by sophomore Josie Blair. Blair also co-led the team team in digs with Junior Olivia Mantooth. Sophomore Addie Bowman led the team in blocks, while Senior setter Anslie Spoon led the team in assists. As the Tribe takes the court tonight, it will be the final time doing so for the squad's four seniors, Kinzlee Akin, Anekah Albrektson, Addison Spoon, and Anslie Spoon. So, if you can, make the trip out to John Burr Memorial Gymnasium and cheer on your Lady Indians as they wrap up the regular season and send off their seniors.
