Loretto Clocktower Project wins Beautify the Bluegrass award

LOUISVILLE, KY - On Wednesday, October 8, the 2025 Beautify the Bluegrass Governor's Award was presented by Kentucky Living Magazine to a team of local community champions whose project has had an uplifting, lasting impact on the Commonwealth. The 2025 award winner was the Loretto Clocktower Plaza Project in Marion County.

Five standout Beautify the Bluegrass finalists were announced in August by Kentucky Living and Governor Andy Beshear, including the Irvin Schoolhouse Renovation in Russell County. The finalists were:
  • Grayson County Tourism, Logsdon Valley Park Trail Renovations (Grayson County)
  • Hammond Sisters, Irvin Schoolhouse Renovation (Russell County)
  • Issac Sterrett Adventure Foundation, Operation Community Cleanup (Daviess County)
  • Beautify Loretto, Inc., Loretto Clocktower Plaza Project (Marion County)
  • Pendleton County Tourism and others, The "Boo" Singleton Project (Pendleton County)
Now in its ninth consecutive year, the partnership between the Governor's Office and Kentucky Living, the flagship publication of Kentucky's electric cooperatives, celebrates grassroots projects that inspire Kentuckians statewide to strengthen their communities and enhance the natural beauty of Kentucky.
