Football: Indians dominant at Casey County By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer The Adair County Indians Football team defeated the Casey County Rebels (0-3) 55-14 on Friday September 5, 2025. The team dominated through an impressive rushing game that went for 430 yards. The leading rusher for the Tribe was Sophomore Callum Darnell, with 10 carries for 202 yards and two touchdowns. He was followed by senior Ryder Rodgers, who had nine carries for 138 and three touchdowns. Other contributors on the rushing attack were junior Brody Karnes, who had eight carries for 66 yards and two touchdowns, sophomore Braxton McKinney, who had one carry for 14 yards, and junior Alex Martin, who had two carries for 10 yards. The Indians passed the ball very little. Brody Karnes was the only Tribe player to attempt a pass, and he went 2 for 6 for 70 yards and a touchdown. Those two completions were split between junior Madden Moye, who had one reception for 35 yards and the lone passing touchdown, and Callum Darnell, who had one reception for 32 yards. On special teams, junior Matthew MeJean went 5 for 5 on PATs. The team was led in tackles by Ryder Rodgers who had 15, followed by Junior Tristan Mullins, who had 12. Mullins also lead the team in tackles for a loss, with three. The defensive unit forced a total of four takeaways with two fumble recoveries and two interceptions. The Indians had a dominant performance, one that was a welcome change from the past two weeks for the Tribe. They will look to carry momentum into their matchup next week on the road to face McCreary Central (1-1). Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30pmCT next Friday, September 12, 2025.
