XC: LWU Women finish fifth at Panther Prowl

Owensboro, KY - The Lindsey Wilson women's cross country team opened the 2025 season with a fifth-place finish at the Panther Prowl Cross Country Classic on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Yellow Creek Park.

The Blue Raiders finished with a total of 131 points in the 5K race. Evansville (IN) finished first with 16 points while Asbury (KY) was second with 57 points.

In her collegiate debut, freshman Emma Kate Emerson was the first runner representing Lindsey Wilson to cross the line with a time of 21:31.5, which was good for 21st overall. Next to finish was fifth-year senior Zoe Wilson who finished in 26th place (22:19.1), followed by freshman Arianna Payne who finished in 30th place (22:44.7). The theme of newcomers performing well for the Blue Raiders continued as freshman Cecilia Hiatt finished in 41st place (26:32.9). Junior runner Sancia Smith was the next runner to cross the line following Hiatt in 42nd place (27:16.2). Autumn Price finished with a time of 28:04.4, finishing in 43rd.

The Blue Raiders return to action on Friday, September 19, 2025, for the Midway XC Invitational in Versailles, KY.
