Football: Indians host Metcalfe Co. on Friday

By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer

The Adair County Indians football team is back in action at 7pmCT on Friday, August 29, 2025, as they face off against the Metcalfe County Hornets at their home away from home, Lindsey Wilson University's Parnell Family Stadium, 928 Russell Rd, Columbia, KY. Tickets are available through hometownticketing.com.

The Indians will look to bounce back after a 32-9 loss to the Russell County Lakers last week. The Hornets also had a rough start to the season taking a 27-0 loss to Taylor County.

Against Taylor County, Metcalfe County struggled to move the ball, posting just over 100 yards of total offense. A majority of that came from Senior Quarterback Zach Perdue, who went 8 for 17 passing for 73 yards. Perdue also led the team in rushing, with 28 yards of the teams 30 positive rush yards.

The schedule for the Tribe this year is rather tough, and if they want to post a record above .500 this is a game Adair County will need to win. Come out and support your Indians tommorow as they face the Hornets!
