Effective Monday, March 27, 2006, the Chestnut Grove Road in District 4 will be closed until further notice due to construction of a new bridge.

What follows is a more specific description of just where in District 4 Chestnut Grove Road is located.

ColumbiaMagazine Note: Chestnut Grove Road is just west of Breeding, off Flat Rock Road. It follows a trail from Chestnut Grove Church, past, among other landmarks, Lloyd French's residence, a lot of George Webb land and the Walking John land; through and over Leatherwood Creek, to Nell and the Chick and Cut Walker lands, and then, almost immediately connects to KY 80 at the foot of Nell Hill. Chestnut Grove Road is the major portion of the way from Nell to Breeding.
