Garlin Gadberry, 86, Fairplay, KY (1939-2025)

Garlin Gadberry of Fairplay passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was 86 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 11amCT on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Rickie Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue on Wednesday morning until the time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.


He was born on April 22, 1939, in Fairplay, KY to the late Beckham and Amanda Harvey Gadberry.

Mr. Gadberry was a member of the Columbia Church of Christ and a retired logger and farmer. He was an avid fisherman and Rook player.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years Judy Tabor Gadberry of Fairplay, KY; two daughters Charlene Bell (Ronnie) and Faylene Streeval (Mike Ratliff) both of Columbia, KY; three grandsons Devin Bell (Kelley), Jesse Streeval, and Cody Streeval; seven great grandchildren Pyper, Raylyn, Aliray, Cali, James, Thomas, and Blakelyn; a sister Loretta Gadberry of Fairplay, KY; a brother-in-law Harold Tabor (Liz) of Jamestown, KY and several nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives..

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers Leon, Orville "Dutch", Forest "Lum", and Bannard Gadberry and two sisters Marie Grant and Marjorie Campbell.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Gadberry, Danny Bailey, Ricky Prewitt, Pat Elmore, Josh Campbell, and Randall Bell.
