Volleyball: LWU announces schedule for 2025 season The defending Mid-South Conference tournament champion Lindsey Wilson volleyball team unveiled its schedule for the 2025 season. The Blue Raiders loaded their calendar with 25 matches against non-conference opponents, including six teams that qualified for the NAIA National Tournament in 2024. Lindsey Wilson begins its campaign at home on August 15 and 16, 2025, when the Blue Raiders team up with Campbellsville University to host the Road and Raid Invitational. Appalachian Athletic Conference trio Tennessee Wesleyan, Johnson (TN), and Spartansburg Methodist (SC), along with Loyola (LA) out of the Southern States Athletic Conference will make appearances inside Biggers Sports Center during the opening weekend. Following a week off, the Blue Raiders travel to Waxahachie, Texas on August 29 and 30 for the Texas Two Step tournament, hosted by Nelson (TX). Lindsey Wilson will square off with four different opponents representing four different conferences, two of which - McPherson (KS) and Texas Wesleyan - are coming off trips to the national tournament a season ago. Of 15 matches slated for September, only one will be played in Columbia on September 18, 2025, when Lindsey Wilson begins its conference schedule against Georgetown (KY). The month sees the Blue Raiders venture north to Grand Rapids, Michigan on the 5th and 6th for an invitational joint-hosted by Cornerstone (MI) and Aquinas (MI). The latter of the two captured the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament in 2024 and ended the year with a 40-3 record. Other highlights of September include a neutral-site match in Nashville with NCAA Division I school Mississippi Valley State on the 13th, a tri-match in Pulaski, Tennessee with Tennessee Southern and Faulkner (AL), and a drive to St. Louis to challenge Missouri Baptist and Governors State (IL). October features two neutral-site contests against NAIA tournament qualifiers. First, on the 11th in Grayson, Kentucky to play Indiana Kokomo. Then, on the 18th to face Reinhardt (Ga.). The month also includes seven of Lindsey Wilson's 12 league matches. Within the Mid-South schedule, the Blue Raiders meet Cumberlands (KY) for a Mid-South tournament championship rematch in Williamsburg on September 23, then at home on October 14. The first "Battle of Highway 55" occurs in Campbellsville on September 25, 2025, before the two sides meet again to close the regular season in Columbia on November 4, 2025. The Mid-South Conference tournament will, once again, be held inside Studle Financial Arean at Bowling Green High School on November 13-15, 2025. This story was posted on 2025-07-09 12:04:05
