Brenda Lee Marr Young, 63, Green County, KY Brenda Lee Marr Young of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of Irine Milby Marr of the Gabe Community and the late Jacob Marr, was born on Saturday, June 10, 1961 in Taylor County and passed away Monday, June 2, 2025 at Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 63 years, 11 months, and 23 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Along with being a homemaker, she was the best nanny and momma around and loved to cook dinner for all of her family. She was hard working and loved to clean and work in tobacco. She was great at fishing and always made sure to catch more than her husband, Gobel. Most importantly she loved her Jesus and everyone around her felt that. She is survived by her husband: Gobel Edward "Eddie" Young, having been united since November 1, 1975. Besides her mother and husband, other survivors include her two daughters and son-in-law: Angela "Angie" Pierce and Matt of Greensburg, Cassie Lee Leigh of Greensburg; three grandchildren: Cage Matthew Pierce, Channing Ryan Pierce, Isaiah Edrick Leigh; one sister and brother-in-law: Connie Davenport and Billy of Hart County, one brother and sister-in-law: Douglas "Doug" Marr and Phebee of London, Kentucky; a sister-in-law: Pat Marr of Green County; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her father, she was also preceded in death by a brother: Ronnie Marr. The funeral services will be conducted at 1pmCT Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Family Cemetery. Bro. Greg Whitlow officiating. Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 Friday and after 7 Saturday until time of the service.
